Below are three photos to give you an idea of how much product you will receive in each size package. We filled up each size bag with marbles and placed them next to a quarter to provide a clear representation. There are two different photos, one for standard spices/seasonings and one for herbs. Since many herbs are so leafy the same weight will fill up a much larger bag. This is why some of the herb prices seem a lot higher than the spice prices, but you are actually receiving more product.

The third image is of our 1 cup Bottle with Sifter next to a popular national brand found in most grocery stores. You can see that our bottle holds close to 2.5 times more product than the national brand bottle. Plus, ours often costs less! Please be aware some other online retailers only offer 1/2 cup(4 fluid ounces) bottles. We choose to offer double the size 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) bottles to give you the biggest bang for your buck!

We hope you can see from these images that regardless of which size you order, you are getting a lot of product and a very good value compared to the supermarket.

Also Known As: Chinese Cinnamon Ground or Tung Hing Ground
Origin: Chinese
Ingredients: China Tung Hing Cassia Powder
Taste and Aroma: Warm, sweet, rich and slightly spicier than Cinnamon Korintje Powder.
Uses: Desserts, toast, baking, cake, pie, cocoa, tea, and fruits.
Substitutes: Saigon Vietnamese Cinnamon Ground, Cinnamon Korintje Powder, Ceylon Cinnamon Powder, Cinnamon Sticks and Cinnamon Sugar
Fun Fact: The Cassia Tree is between 10 and 15 meters tall or 33 to 50 feet.
Health Values:
-May improve digestion and reduce the symptoms of diarrhea because it has antimicrobial properties
-May help reduce the symptoms of nausea and vomiting
-May act as a stimulant to help improve circulation that can help reduce the symptoms of arthritis and rheumatism by warming the joints

Good Stuff

Tung Hing is my favorite. Vietnamese cassia is a bit strong by itself and Korentje is a bit mild. I usually mix the three, but with a larger part being Tung Hing.

I went to China

I used China Tung Hing Cassia Powder in a large batch of soup. I sure make it stand out from other soups I have made. I can believe I ate the whole thing

The item I would like to comment on is the Ceylon Cinnamon Powder. The texture is gritty and the aroma/flavor almost non-existant. Was very disappointed with this cinnamon. More woody vs. cinnamony.

Who would have thought?

The site was out of the Korinjthe (Indonesian Cassia). But I cued off the "cassia" in the name and gave it a shot.
Taste wise it is closest to the Indonesian Cassia. Not EVEN as strong as Saigon, and there is nothing that rivals Sri Lankan (True Cinnamon).
I have tended to keep all three of the other cinnamons, but that is now been 'upped' to Four with the Tung Hing Cassia.
