Also Known As: Common Sage or Kitchen Sage
Origin: Albania
Ingredients: Rubbed Sage
Taste and Aroma: Intense, strong, warm and slightly peppery.
Uses: Thanksgiving turkey stuffing, pork, poultry, eggplant, bread and dumplings.
Substitutes: Sage Ground, Sage Leaves, Rosemary Ground or Poultry Seasoning.
Fun Fact: Rubbed Sage is much stronger than ground sage, because it is rubbed directly from the leaves while ground sage also includes the stems.

-May also help contain antibacterial properties because of the oils found in sage
-May be used as an antifungal and antiviral treatment
