Ingredients: Nutmeg Whole
Taste and Aroma: Strong, warm, nutty and sweet.
Uses: Baking, desserts, pies, cakes, breads, sauces, stews, cheese, sausages and vegetables.
Substitutes:Nutmeg Ground, Mace Ground, Korintje Cinnamon Powder or Apple Pie Spice.
Fun Fact: The British traded Run Island, the only source of Nutmeg in the 17th century, to the Dutch for control of New Amsterdam (now what we know as New York).
