Below are three photos to give you an idea of how much product you will receive in each size package. We filled up each size bag with marbles and placed them next to a quarter to provide a clear representation. There are two different photos, one for standard spices/seasonings and one for herbs. Since many herbs are so leafy the same weight will fill up a much larger bag. This is why some of the herb prices seem a lot higher than the spice prices, but you are actually receiving more product.

The third image is of our 1 cup Bottle with Sifter next to a popular national brand found in most grocery stores. You can see that our bottle holds close to 2.5 times more product than the national brand bottle. Plus, ours often costs less! Please be aware some other online retailers only offer 1/2 cup(4 fluid ounces) bottles. We choose to offer double the size 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) bottles to give you the biggest bang for your buck!

We hope you can see from these images that regardless of which size you order, you are getting a lot of product and a very good value compared to the supermarket.

Meringue Powder
Also Known As: Dried Meringue Powder
Origin: U.S.A.
Ingredients: Sugar, Egg White Solids, Edible Gums, Alum Powder, Salt, Vanillin and Calcium Lactate
Taste and Aroma: Sweet! Smells like vanilla and freshly baked pastries.
Uses: Traditionally used to make meringue and hard icings, try in cookies, drinks, desserts and other recipes where like and frothy consistency is desired. For Royal Icing (a hard drying icing) mix 1/4 cup meringue powder with 1/2 cup cold water, beat until peaks form. Add 4 cups sifted powdered sugar, beat to desired consistency. For meringue topping, dissolved 3/4 cup granulated sugar in 1/2 cup boiling water, cool. Add 1/4 cup meringue powder and beat to a stiff peak.
Substitutes: Buttermilk Powder, Coconut Milk Powder, Whole Milk Powder, Cream of Tartar and Baking Powder.
Fun Fact: The name meringue came from a pastry chef named Gasparini in the Swiss town of Merhrinyghen. In 1720, Gasparini created a small pastry of dried egg foam and sugar from which the simplified meringue evolved. It became so popular that Marie Antoinette is said to have prepared the sweet with her own hands!

This has become a staple in the pantry

I have never used Meringue Powder before and now that I have made my first Royal Frosting I am hooked. This is a great item to have on hand for those special occasions making edible creations for the holidays. So glad I gave this a try and when I run out I know I can get more through MySpiceSage.

Happy little grandson!

My little grandson has Autism and one of his favorite snacks is lemon meringue pudding, but I now can't find any more. So I was very happy to see you had meringue powder. Now I mix it with his pudding and now lemon cream pie yogurt, it makes it taste like his pudding. Because of his Autism, taste, smell, texture are extremely important! If it doesn't smell, taste exactly, look the same, he won't touch it! With your help, I actually fooled him, he loves it. Thank so much, it may seem a small thing, but in Justin's world it's Big!

Can't wait to try

I recently received an order from My Spice Sage It's always so much fun to open their boxes One can order only as much as one needs, giving you a chance to try lots of different things So far I've only had time to try the dehydrated veggies. (I whipped them up in some softened cream cheese with some garlic powder and seasoned salt yummm) Next on the list to try is the meringue powder. Any excuse to make frosting is good thing, and the Hubbs loves cake!
