Below are three photos to give you an idea of how much product you will receive in each size package. We filled up each size bag with marbles and placed them next to a quarter to provide a clear representation. There are two different photos, one for standard spices/seasonings and one for herbs. Since many herbs are so leafy the same weight will fill up a much larger bag. This is why some of the herb prices seem a lot higher than the spice prices, but you are actually receiving more product.

The third image is of our 1 cup Bottle with Sifter next to a popular national brand found in most grocery stores. You can see that our bottle holds close to 2.5 times more product than the national brand bottle. Plus, ours often costs less! Please be aware some other online retailers only offer 1/2 cup(4 fluid ounces) bottles. We choose to offer double the size 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) bottles to give you the biggest bang for your buck!

We hope you can see from these images that regardless of which size you order, you are getting a lot of product and a very good value compared to the supermarket.

  • Yield:2-3

  • Level of Difficulty:Easy

  • Cook Time:10 Minutes

  • Prep Time:8 Hours

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup

    soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup

    olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon

    lemon extract

  • 1/4 cup

    Worchestshire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon

    garlic powder

  • 3 tablespoons

    dried basil

  • 1 tablespoon

    dried parsley

  • 1 tablespoon

    pink peppercorns, crushed

  • 2-3 steaks*

  • vegetable oil for cooking

Directions

Combine the first 8 ingredients in a small bowl and pour over the steaks. Store in your fridge for at least 8 hours in an air-tight container with a lid.

Remove the steaks from the marinade an hour before cooking. Rinse the marinade off and let sit on the counter. This brings the meat up to room temp, which is better for pan-frying.

Preheat your oven to 450-degrees.

In a cast iron skillet, add enough vegetable oil to lightly cover the bottom of the pan. Bring up to medium-high heat.

Sear each side of the steaks, 1 at a time, for 2 minutes per side. Transfer to a broiling rack and place in the pre-heated oven.

Change the oven to high broil and broil each side for another 2 minutes.**

Serve immediately!

* Recipe easily doubles or triples, this amount is perfect for 3 steaks.

** This is for medium-rare, cook longer to achieve different doneness.
