Below are three photos to give you an idea of how much product you will receive in each size package. We filled up each size bag with marbles and placed them next to a quarter to provide a clear representation. There are two different photos, one for standard spices/seasonings and one for herbs. Since many herbs are so leafy the same weight will fill up a much larger bag. This is why some of the herb prices seem a lot higher than the spice prices, but you are actually receiving more product.
The third image is of our 1 cup Bottle with Sifter next to a popular national brand found in most grocery stores. You can see that our bottle holds close to 2.5 times more product than the national brand bottle. Plus, ours often costs less! Please be aware some other online retailers only offer 1/2 cup(4 fluid ounces) bottles. We choose to offer double the size 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) bottles to give you the biggest bang for your buck!
We hope you can see from these images that regardless of which size you order, you are getting a lot of product and a very good value compared to the supermarket.

Seems to be an excellent product. I'm making my own sour cream and onion potato chips
The other catch is: let it sit for a few minutes when you mix it. In the time it took me to write the review, the 3T powder to 2T water mixture thickened up to topping consistency. So OK to expand that 3:2 ratio to a larger quantity.
For the people who wonder how much to use, the catch is you use more powder than water. As a new user, at the moment I have it at 3T powder to 2T water but it's still a bit runny - OK as a base for salad dressing but more powder needed for use as topping. Start small like that so you can adjust it without wasting product.
I use this for all kinds of things !!!! Love it!
Sour Cream Powder
On a whim I ordered this powder and was pleasantly surprised on how much I could use it in my recipes. when you get the dairy kind, for me, it spoils quickly as I don't use it as much. But this sour cream powder is a wonder!
Thrilled to find your wonderful powdered products but dismayed to find no instructions included with the order or available online! I read other reviews and realize I must experiment. Not a good beginning for successful use of a new product. Butter powder at least has an instructional narrative beneath the product description. Left the 5 star rating because having this product available is worth 5 stars - as I just received the item, I cannot advise how it is to use or how it tastes.
I purchase both sour cream powder and whole milk powder, for the RV. Both are very useful and give good results.
One day a week my husband goes out with his friends and it's my time to relax, eat what I want and enjoy my shows on the TV. At that time I make my copycat banana orange Julius (with low fat milk and 50% Tropicana orange juice) -- that's the half of it. Then I buy Auntie Anne's pretzel nougats and prepare those in my toaster oven - this is where I use my sour cream powder. I bought a combination of sour cream, onion (and I think salt) powder, but the powder had much too much salt. So I ordered your sour cream powder and put a bunch into the mixture and made the perfect combo for my pretzels, couple it with
my "Orange Julius" and melted Cheese Whiz for my nougats, and I'm in heaven.
This sour cream powder mixes pretty well and tastes pretty good. It would be helpful if more instructions were provided, like how much water to add and how much powder equals one tablespoon of sour cream. I contacted My Spice Sage and was told no instructions were available and that I simply needed to experiment with it and "use it to taste". I'm not a chef, so that wasn't very helpful.
